Serving with warm smiles and heartfelt care...
What Does It Mean To Be A Riley Hospital Volunteer?
Some of the most dedicated people at Riley Hospital are our volunteers. Often, they are one of the first people a patient sees when entering the hospital and one of the last people they say goodbye to when they are discharged.
Our volunteers come from the local community and generously donate their time to serve the patients, their families, visitors and hospital staff. They deliver mail, flowers, books and magazines. They escort patients, staff the information desk and/or work as unit volunteers. They give of themselves unselfishly and radiate a warmth and cheerfulness throughout the hospital. Through fundraising, our volunteers help provide equipment for patient units and scholarships for nursing students at Meridian Community College.
Serving as a Riley Hospital Volunteer can prove to be a very rewarding experience. Special luncheons and activities are planned throughout the year to celebrate and honor the dedication of our volunteers.
Who Can Be A Volunteer?
Anyone 18 years of age or older can serve as a volunteer. Our team is comprised of men and women of all ages and backgrounds.
