Riley Hospital Names Employees of the First Quarter

Riley Hospital recently named its Employees of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2009.

Sherrie Blocker, Director of the Business Office, is our Department Manager of the Quarter.  Sherrie worked diligently to set up the billing for the new clinics, sometimes until late hours of the night.  The process was a challenge, but with Sherrie’s help it progressed and has been very successful.  She is extremely knowledgeable about her job and willing to do whatever needs to be done.  Sherrie is truly an asset to Riley Hospital

Lajeana Pierre, Admissions Supervisor, has been selected as the Employee of the Quarter.  She is very hardworking and gives 110% to Riley Hospital in every job she takes on.  She is well liked by her peers and coworkers.  Lajeana is always eager to help out in anyway possible.  She is a strong individual who cares about all of the people around her.  We are proud to have Lajeana at Riley Hospital.  She is a true benefit to our family.

Diana Alberts, RN, is the recipient of our Nurse Excellence of the Quarter.  Diana works in Endoscopy and always has a “can-do” attitude.  She is willing to float to several other departments when her workload permits and is very competent in her work.  She is a team player and certainly does not mind doing more than her share.   Everyone loves her and her willingness to help out.  We are so glad to have Diana at Riley.

Deanna Cornish, Community Relations Coordinator of Tom C. Maynor Rehabilitation Center, has been named Contract Employee of the Quarter.  Deanna is a strong patient advocate who is always looking out for the patients’ best interest.  She goes the extra mile to ensure the patients’ transition to rehab is as easy as possible.  She has the same caring attitude toward her coworkers if they are in need.  Deanna has held several positions at Riley.  Since transferring to Tom C. Maynor Rehabilitation Center, she has greatly increased referrals and admissions.  2008 was the center’s busiest year yet, and the referral source satisfaction is the best it’s ever been.  Deanna is one of Riley’s biggest cheerleaders, and we are thankful for her dedication.
