Riley Hospital recently named its Employees of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2009.
Deb Nichols, RN, was named Department Manager of the Quarter. Deb recently served as Interim Director of Surgery. She has worked at Riley Hospital for 32 years. She is very caring, compassionate, and gets along with everyone. She stepped up to the plate and did a great job filling in during her manager’s absence.
LaVonya Gordon, 5 North Monitor Tech, is Employee of the Quarter. Von has worked at Riley Hospital for seven years. She has great rapport with physicians and her coworkers. She is very dependable and multitasks very well.
Kay Wilson, RN, received Nurse Excellence of the Quarter. She is always willing to help others. Patients think very highly of her and ask for her by name on return visits. One of her coworkers said, “She is truly one of the best nurses at Riley Hospital, and she makes me want to be the best I can be.”
Chris Moore, Physical Therapy Assistant, is Contract Employee of the Quarter. He is always professional and has a wonderful attitude. Chris is compassionate with all of his patients and encourages them to work to their full potential. He goes beyond his job description to assist other rehab team members.
