Tom C. Maynor Rehab Center › Services
Rehabilitation means reshaping lives and restoring lost abilities after an illness or injury. Whether recovering from a stroke, a fall or a serious illness, rehabilitation can make a difference in the quality of life for most patients.
In 1999, Riley Hospital recognized a need in East Mississippi for a facility that allowed patients to receive intensive rehabilitation and 24-hour care, yet stay conveniently close to home and family. A rehabilitation unit was established on the fourth floor of the hospital to meet that need; today, the 20-bed, Medicare-certified center is East Mississippi's only inpatient rehabilitation facility.
In the spring of 2002, the center was dedicated in honor of retired local businessman Tom C. Maynor in recognition of his strong advocacy on behalf of stroke survivors and their families.
At the Tom C. Maynor Rehabilitation Center, we are dedicated to treating the whole patient - physically, emotionally and socially - and provide a wide range of therapy services to help our patients return to their highest level of functioning and independence.
The Tom C. Maynor Rehabilitation Center at Riley Hospital is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
