The WomanCare Birth Place at Riley Hospital features the
latest options in obstetrical care. With specially trained staff
and modern technology, the Birth Place allows new mothers the opportunity
to experience labor, delivery and recovery in the privacy and comfort
of one room.
A service of Riley Hospital, Meridian Breast Imaging Clinic is a clinic for women, run by women, and utilizes the most technologically advanced mammography equipment. The clinic is fully accredited by the American College of Radiology.
We also offer stereotactic breast biopsy, which allows a precise sample of a breast lump to be removed through the use of a needle instead of an open surgical incision. The procedure is done with a mammography machine linked to a computer.
To make mammograms more comfortable, Riley Hospital mammography technicians now use a soft, foam cushion called a
MammoPad. The MammoPad is an adhesive-backed, single-use cushion used to provide soft, warm padding and ease discomfort caused by the pulling of breast skin during the procedure.
